IPReplace Batch is a small exe program that replaces existing IP numbers in IIS with new IP numbers.

Overview - What does it do?
NOTE: IPReplace has been renamed IPReplace Batch

The program will traverse your IIS metabase, find all IP numbers you specify in an ipmapping file, and replace them with the new IP. IPReplace Batch is totally configurable through an ini file.

Simply set an ipmapping file, run the program and IPReplace Batch does the rest.

IPReplace Batch creates a report showing all the proposed changes
Review the report
Running the program again you can choose to make the permanent changes

First, IPReplace Batch warns you to backup your metabase. Do it!

Next, you are presented with a choice. You may either have IPReplace Batch print a report displaying the proposed changes or you may choose to make the changes permanent upon running the program.

Enter the computer name (this will also be taken from the ipreplacebatch config file)

IPReplace Batch performs its task by traversing all the Web sites in your IIS installation. It will even change your SSL bindings.

How can I use the program?

If you switch bandwidth providers you will invariably receive a new range of IP numbers. These will need to be changed in IIS for each site.

IPReplace Batch really shines if you use hostheaders - you only use one IP for all sites. In a second all the IPs may be changed from one to another.
