* iMAIL's Registry Report *
---------------------------------------
1. Ipswitch's iMAIL server registry key. This report may be
printed in DETAIL or SUMMARY. The SUMMARY report shows all
your iMAIL domains listed alphabetically and numbered. The
DETAIL report goes one level deeper to display the domains and
their contents, like the following:
117. www.jackrabbit.com
Address:$virtual029
TopDir:c:\imaildir\jackrabbitcom
Flags:ERROR CODE 1
MaxSize:2000000
MaxMsgs:1000
MaxRcv:8000000
MaxUsers:11
UserCount:1
1. In the DETAIL report we test the:
'TopDir:c:\imaildir\jackrabbitcom' path to see if it exists on
your server. If it DOES NOT exist a line is appended to the
end of the detail: "Dir does not exist." If it DOES EXIST the
directory size is calculated and appended to the line - 'dir
size is: 2003931'. This may be used by technical support to
clean up a server and regain valuable disk space.
2. At the end of the DETAIL report we total up the:
'UserCount' and show a total of the POP users on your
system.
Features:
- Generates a hard copy of your iMAIL\Domains Registry Key: either a Summary or Detail
- Summary Report displays each domain name in alphabetical order and numbered
- Detail Report displays each domain and other information on the domain including: TopLevel Directory, MaxUsers,UserCount and more.
- The Detail display totals the UserCount, calculates and displays the 'Total POP users' in the iMAIL server.
-
The Detail report tests for the existence of the toplevel
dir, if it is not found a line is appended to the
TopDir:c:\imaildir\jackrabbitcom - dir does not exist. If
the directory does exist the size is calculated and a line
is appended as: TopDir:c:\imaildir\jackrabbitcom - dir
size is: 2003931.
- Prints a text file containing a list of your ALIASES by domain
- Prints a text file containing a list of your POP accounts
Benefits:
- Save the hardcopy for management purposes
- Use the hardcopy to restore valuable disk space on the server by deleting old POP account/user directories.
